Celebrating Hangul Day: Technical Parts Names Written in Hangul
💡

October 9 marks Hangul Day, a day to celebrate the Korean alphabet created by King Sejong and its cultural significance. To mark this occasion, ORSKOREA has prepared a special campaign featuring the names of various manufacturing components written in Hangul, sharing the beauty and value of the Korean writing system.

In 1443,
King Sejong of Korea created a new writing system.
At the time, writing already existed in Korea.
However, it was not easy for everyone to learn to read and write or express their thoughts in writing.

King Sejong recognized the challenges faced by his people.
People who could speak but struggled to express their thoughts in writing.
People who wanted to learn but had little opportunity to receive an education.
People who had their own thoughts and ideas but found it difficult to put them into words.

To overcome these barriers, King Sejong created a new writing system.
It was called Hunminjeongeum (訓民正音), meaning "The Proper Sounds for the Instruction of the People."
This writing system would later become known as Hangul, the Korean alphabet.

Created in 1443, Hunminjeongeum was officially introduced to the public in 1446, following three years of research and preparation. Hunminjeongeum Haeryebon, a detailed explanatory text, describes the principles behind the creation of the letters and how to use them.

Consonants were designed to reflect the shapes of the speech organs used to produce their sounds, while the basic vowels were inspired by three fundamental elements: heaven, earth, and humanity. In other words, Hangul was more than just a new set of letters.

It was a thoughtfully designed system that made it easier for people to learn, understand, and express their own thoughts. When we think about Hangul, we should look beyond its excellence as a writing system and remember the fundamental question that inspired its creation.

"What can we create for the benefit of people?"

Global Names, Written in Hangul

And today, we write these names in a new way. Centuries later, people around the world speak different languages. Yet great products, innovative technologies, and meaningful ideas transcend borders.

ORSKOREA began its journey in Korea and continues to build connections around the world. To celebrate Hangul Day, we decided to write the names of key industrial parts related to our technology in Hangul.

Even familiar parts names, when expressed in Hangul, take on a fresh and distinctive appearance.

Even familiar parts names take on a different character when expressed in Hangul. This is what connection means to us.

Just as Hangul was created with people in mind, ORSKOREA strives to bring technology closer to the people who use it. We believe that great technology should not be limited to those who develop or understand it. Instead, it should make things easier, more convenient, and more efficient for the people who rely on it.

We want Korean technology and products to reach beyond Korea and make a difference for people around the world. We also hope to connect people from different languages, cultures, and perspectives through quality products and shared values.

Rooted in Korea, reaching out to the world.
ORSKOREA will continue moving forward, step by step, connecting people with technology and Korea with the world.

This Hangul Day, we celebrate the beauty of Hangul by bringing a new expression to names from around the world.

Celebrating Hangul Day.”
