Global robotics industry continues to expand as automation spreads across manufacturing and new applications emerge for collaborative and humanoid robots. According to the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), 542,076 industrial robots were installed worldwide in 2024, while the global operational stock reached approximately 4.66 million units. Asia accounted for 74% of new installations, with Europe and Americas representing other major manufacturing markets.

At the same time, humanoid robots are attracting growing attention as companies explore their potential in manufacturing, logistics, and other human-centered environments.

협동로봇 역시 산업 자동화의 한 축으로 자리 잡고 있습니다. IFR 자료에 따르면 2024년 협동로봇 신규 설치는 64,542대로, 전체 산업용 로봇 설치의 11.9%를 차지했습니다. 동시에 휴머노이드 로봇은 제조·물류를 비롯한 인간 중심 환경에서의 활용 가능성을 바탕으로 산업적 관심이 확대되고 있습니다.
